Pay your employees to quit?

Paul Jacobs of Engage discusses an innovative approach to recruitment where companies are paying employees to leave their job? Interesting read and an example of an approach that re-invents employee loyalty:

“If you quit today, we will pay you for the amount of time you’ve worked, plus we will offer you a $1,000 bonus … no questions asked, no ill feeling.”

It may be reverse psychology, but with over 1600 employees does this work?
