Offshoring, are we only at the tip?

Read an interesting book from Dan Pink titled a whole new mind.  Dan argues that we are in only at the tip of the iceberg when it comes to offshoring.  The theory goes like this:

Your job could be off-shored if it requires a decision tree, can be mechanised or commodotised. Examples include:  Accounting, Software engineering and even Radiology.

This leads to the inevitable questions of: What cannot be offshored? and how do I keep my job safe?

Dan suggests more use of the right side of the brain (creativity) to ensure a prosperious future.

What does this mean for hiring? Make sure you have a system in place that allows you to secure the best candidates first.
