Most would agree that we are in the midst of a candidate shortage. While this may be true, a “shortage” does not mean absolute drought. Jobs are filled from job boards, people change work all the time. Perhaps its not a shortage, but a change in psychology to recruitment? We need to realize that there are factors in a campaign that are more important than ever.
These include:
- Speed
- Communication
Many candidates are lost due to a lack of speed—and more than enough due to a lack of communication.
Communicating your expectations and goals at the start of a campaign are crucial in this marketplace.
Do this by setting milestones, goals, deadlines and clearly defined roles in each hire.
Good recruitment agents operate at speed, so should you.
